The clinicians

The clinicians.

Three of us, and the same one at every visit. Direct lines are the clinic number.

  • Dana Whitfield, founder and physical therapist, in a white coat

    01 · Founder · Physical therapist

    Dana Whitfield

Post-surgical rehab and return to sport

Dana opened Cadence in 2016 after ten years running inpatient rehab at St. Charles. She takes the knees and shoulders that want a date on the calendar and a number to beat.

“Surgery fixes the structure. Rehab trains the person. The second half deserves the same rigor as the first.”

    How Dana works

    • The surgeon's protocol and my re-tests live in the same document.
    • You hear your numbers every session, not just how the week felt.
    • Clearance is a test result, not a feeling on a Friday.

    Oregon licensed since 2006.

  • Marcus Ellery, physical therapist, standing with arms crossed

    02 · Physical therapist

    Marcus Ellery

    Gait, balance, and neurological rehab

Marcus spent eight years in stroke rehab before joining Cadence. He runs the bars, the harness treadmill, and the vestibular testing, and he is the reason the clinic opens at seven.

“Walking is a rhythm. You do not hurry it. You count it.”

    How Marcus works

    • Every session ends on the ground you will actually walk on — floor, gravel, or curb.
    • Family learns the program once, early, so it survives the week.
    • Balance gets re-tested on a schedule, not after a fall.

    Oregon licensed since 2012.

  • Priya Raman, physical therapist, outdoors in a white coat

    03 · Physical therapist

    Priya Raman

    Chronic pain and strength

Priya came to physical therapy by way of strength coaching, and it shows. She takes the backs and tendons that have been hurting longer than anyone planned.

“Pain that has been here for years still answers to load — small, honest, repeated load.”

    How Priya works

    • The program starts below what the pain allows and rises on a schedule you help set.
    • Flare-ups are data, not failures. The plan bends; the date does not.
    • You leave with strength work you can keep without us.

    Oregon licensed since 2015.
